Help Charlotte Get a New Wheelchair

Hi,

This is my sister-in-law Charlotte and she is a 24 year old young lady with Cerebral Palsy and complex medical needs.

Charlotte is a twin, born at 25 weeks gestation and immediately requiring intesive medical care. She then spent 6 months in hospital, before she was healthy enough to come home and join her twin sister and older brother. Throughout her life, Charlotte has spent a great deal of time in and out of Great Ormond Street Hospital, receiving treatment for her various conditions (CP, epilepsy, scoliosis, hydrocephalus). She has been through countless surgical procedures, many of them complex, dangerous and frightening (for Charlotte and her family!!) not to mention extremely painful to recover from.

Now that Charlotte is an adult, she absolutely loves going out with her 4 brothers, sister and parents to parties, stage shows and restaurants, and more recently to see me sing at live gigs in London. As she has grown older, she loves to be involved in everything that her family are doing!

We are trying to raise money for a new wheelchair for Charlotte so that she can easily travel to the places that she loves going, in a chair that is comfortable and easy to manouvre.
