Help Castle Noel save Rudolph and Santa

Please help Castle Noel Museum save the Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and Santa Claus puppets from the beloved 1964 Rankin and Bass Christmas special.
Hi Mark Klaus here, owner of Castle Noel Museum.
15 years ago I had a dream to bring the magic of Christmas to as many people as possible. Bringing guests back to the best of their Christmas memories by giving them the opportunity to be in a magical world  surrounded by the props and costumes from their favorite Christmas movies. Starting with a single foam donut from the 2001 "Grinch", the Castle Noel collection now holds what is believed to be the largest privately held collections of Christmas movie props and costumes in the world. The collection contains hundreds of pieces from a wide variety of Christmas movies including "Elf", "The Santa Clause" movies, "A Christmas Carol", "Santa Claus: The Movie", "A Christmas Story", "Deck the Halls", "The Grinch" and others.

My wife, Dana, and I work 7 days a week,  year round, to make this very unique experience happen. Thousands of families tour Castle Noel every year coming from across the United states and the world. We have used these visits to help fund the massive overhead of a century old 40,000 square foot former church and to continually build the collection and create the sets and experiences for our guests. We have built Castle Noel a little bit at a time. But, over that time we have created what has become a most loved Christmas tradition and the largest year round in door Christmas museum in North America.

The Rudolph and Santa puppets used in the 1964 Rankin and Bass Christmas special will be auctioned off by Profiles in history on November 13. They are expected to bring over $ 250,000
plus auction fees that could be 15 to 19 percent. Unfortunately, that would be an impossible number for us to bid. In the best of years it would still be beyond our reach. When the auction was announced I stared at the image and for a moment I could feel how amazing it would be to have this at Castle Noel. To see children of all ages experience a closeup moment with these amazing icons of Christmas. Rudolph the Red nosed reindeer defined the joy of the build up to Christmas for generations.

As word began to spread  about the auction people kept expressing their hope that the puppets could end up at Castle Noel. On Facebook pages of local television and radio media Castle Noel kept coming up. We received hundreds of messages expressing this hope. Some urging us to start a Go Fund me page to make the dream come true.

Well here we go. My hand shakes a little as I am writing this. Could it actually happen? Thank you all so much for reading this and considering helping this ultimate Christmas dream come true.

If the SALE exceeds the funds raised and we are unable to acquire them, then the choice is yours. You can comment to us with your wishes to allow us to keep the funds and use 100% of them to acquire other famous Christmas movie props and costumes, or you can ask us to please return you funds.which we will do.

100% of the funds raised will be used in the attempt to purchase the puppets at auction. If FUNDS exceed the funds necessary to purchase the puppets, the extra balance, 100% will be used to acquire other famous Christmas movie props and costumes for Castle Noel museum.

As an added show of our appreciation, we will add a video screen to the display area that will display the names and family photos of all who donated.

Thank you so much for helping us to dream the impossible dream.
