Help Budding Singer Perform in Summer Opera Program

Hi, y’all ! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been cast as Diana in Lyric Opera Orange County’s production of Orpheus in the Underworld as part of their Emerging Artist program June 9th-June 21st.
While one of the 12 of us will receive a $2,500 scholarship at the end of the program, it could go to any one of us. This program is structured as a pay-to-sing program. Many of you know that even though I work multiple jobs/gigs, I still struggle to make ends meet. I am asking for help to cover:
- Tuition: $1,880 due by EOD May 20th
- Lodging: even with finding a roommate to split costs with, the AirBNB is $429.94 after the split.
- Coachings: A coaching is when you work with a collaborative pianist to put your part together with the orchestral part of an opera. They also give great musical advice & point out any inaccuracies. To be well prepared, I would like to do 2 coachings before I leave ; they are $60-$70 depending on who I’m able to coach with, so my goal for this is $140.
- My airfare has been generously covered by a family member, but I did have to pay the agent fee of $11.20
I will add and subtract things as time goes on (ex: not being able to schedule coachings, grocery money, gas money if I’ll be carpooling), but I just wanted to go ahead & get started for the May 20th tuition deadline. I will keep this GFM running & updated through the end of the program.
