Billie is an amazing human, now she needs our help.

It is with incredible sadness that we let you know Billie passed away, yesterday (Monday 1/20/25). She put up the most amazing fight until the very end. Thank you all for your continued generosity. All of your donations will help her husband, Joel, to take the next steps in this new journey. We will miss Billie to the moon and back <3

In February 2020, my best friend was diagnosed with stage 4 Colo-rectal cancer. For five years I have watched her endure rounds and rounds of chemo and treatments, but always keeping a brave face and an amazing outlook. She did concerts, music festivals, trips to Kauai and to family in San Diego. She never let it slow her down. There were even days that I would forget she was sick. She is such a trooper and has done everything she can to keep living her life and keeping the every-day as normal as possible. When she had to go part time at work, I had proposed the idea of sending out a Go Fund Me to help give them a buffer and she refused. She did not want to ask money of people while she was still able to work and contribute to her family. She said, lets wait until we actually need it. Well, sadly, those days have arrived. Billie is no longer able to work and she is requiring more specialized in-home care. She is fiercely independent, amazingly giving and enduringly stubborn. But now I ask that we, as her people, her community, her friends and family, give back to Billie and Joel. Allow them to spend whatever time they have together, not worrying about finances.
