On January 16th, my neighbors Bill and Effie Poulakis experienced a devastating house fire that changed their lives forever. In a matter of moments, they lost their home, all of their belongings, and heartbreakingly, one of their beloved dogs. Now, they are left with nothing but the clothes they were wearing, facing the overwhelming task of starting over from scratch.
This tragedy comes just a year and a half after Bill and Effie lost their daughter Tina to cancer. They have been through so much in such a short time, and yet they remain grateful for the kindness and support of their friends, neighbors, and the first responders who helped them. The funds raised will go directly toward covering their immediate needs—things like clothing, food, temporary shelter, and other essentials. Every dollar will help them begin to rebuild their lives and find some stability in the midst of this tragedy.
Many wonderful friends and neighbors have asked how they can help, so this fundraiser is the best way to support Bill and Effie as they face this unimaginable loss. They are deeply grateful for the support of their community and the first responders. Any support will make a difference as they start over and try to rebuild their lives. Thank you for standing with them during this difficult time.
