Help Bertram (Sam) Deihm fight lung cancer
Donation protected
Our lives forever changed almost 5 years ago in January 2016 when Bertram (Sam) Deihm, a loving and caring husband and father, had a stroke which caused him to be permanently disabled. In January 2019 he was hospitalized for pneumonia which after a few months of tests, scans, thoracenteses and biopsies he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He began his first series of chemo and immunotherapy drug treatment in July 2019. In January 2020 we were told his current treatment was no longer working so he started a new round of chemo in March 2020 which worked up until October of this year. We were told the chemo was no longer working because the tumor has grown. He has now started his fourth series of chemo treatments. At this time the more rounds of chemo the less effective they become. We were told he has months, but unsure how many. This news has been really hard to hear and accept. All of this has taken a financial and emotional toll on our family. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated to help out financially with any upcoming and future expenses.
