Help Bee Beat Brain Cancer!! #TeamHBBBC

Sà-wàt-dii everyone, (hello in Thai)

I’m Tim and my wife is Sanita. We are starting this campaign for Sanita’s life long friend, Bee ( Wanwisa Teanjeen ). Bee, her husband Aye and their family live in Thailand. In 2015 Bee started experiencing migraines which processed to spontaneous seizures. An MRI was ordered and a cancerous tumor 4 cm in diameter was discovered. The type of tumor is called an astrocytoma. Surgery was immediately ordered followed by 6 weeks of radiation. Every 5-6 months for the last 5 years Bee has been having screenings to make sure the cancer doesn’t return. In November 2020 a screening showed a small growth. She immediately started radiation. The radiation had caused swelling of her brain and she had a seizure which caused partial paralysis on her left side. She has been in physical therapy since trying to get full mobility. Last month she was experiencing migraines again and her MRI screening showed 3 more tumors in the same area of the tumor that was just treated. They were able to group together and have a surgery done on February 12th and now she is waiting for radiation. These people are fighters and have put everything they can into this fight and every time they hope they have the cancer beat it continues to come back and the current treatment plan is going to be long and painful for her. Bee’s employer insurance is no longer covering anything and her husband have gone through their entire savings as well as Bee's mother-in-law's savings fighting over the years and now it has come to us asking for help as a last resort. The money will be used to pay for the recent surgery as well as radiation treatments over the next two months and once she’s able they hope to start her back on physical therapy again.

Bee is my wife Sanita's best friend but their friendship has always been more of a sisterhood. A friendship of over 25 years has meant they have had to support each other through so many highs and lows life has thrown their way. They've laughed and cried together so many times but lately it's been mostly tears. Bee is 47 and wants nothing more to live and she’s fought so hard but we are scared. Sanita lost her father 21 years ago to brain cancer and Sanita has always wished she had the ability to do more to help him. Thankfully in today’s times there are many ways to help!

In Thailand the culture is organized around kindness and karma. They believe good things happen to good people. Bee, her husband, the group of friends and especially my wife are good people. We believe there are a lot of other good people out there too. If you are able to help in any way, every penny counts and we will be forever grateful. We know these last years have been hard on a lot of people so if you can’t donate that’s ok but we would ask that you can share the campaign with your network and we would really appreciate it!
