My name is Kerri and I am starting this to help my Aunt. She has always been such a stronghold in my life. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and now I get to be a part of her stronghold.

Family and friends… here is an update on my condition. I had a PET scan done and the results showed cancer was also in my pelvic area and in 2 lymph nodes, pushing it from stage 2 to stage 3. I have met with my cancer doctor and radiation therapist and it has been determined that I will be spending 6 weeks in OKC taking chemotherapy and radiation at the Stephenson Center. I will be staying at Hope Lodge a couple of blocks away and they will provide me with transportation to and from the clinic.

I can go home on weekends if I feel up to it. The doctors are still optimistic that my cancer is curable and this is the best plan of action. I am still pretty emotional, but have to agree. I don’t have an exact date when this new adventure starts, but with how fast they are moving, I am guessing probably Aug. 25.

Aunt Margie will be out of work for a minimum of 6 weeks without pay, and her bills will continue unfortunately. So, this will help with her bills, travel, and medical costs.
