There is a low-income family at the Eliot school that is really struggling at the moment. One of the parents was laid off from their job last week and is waiting for unemployment checks to come, but they have received nothing so far. The other parent is a medical assistant at a Boston hospital. She has been working extra hours at the hospital, and the stress of COVID-19 and being the only source of income for the family is taking a toll. I am starting this in the hopes that we can raise some money for this family to spend on rent and food.
