In August 2024, our world turned upside down. My daughter, Alexis Pitre, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer-Primary angiosarcoma.

Primary angiosarcoma is a rare and aggressive cancer that develops in the lining of blood vessels without a history of previous cancer or radiation therapy. A team of specialists concluded chemo and/or radiation therapy was not the way to go. Instead, the best therapy for Alexis would be surgery alone.

What was supposed to be a normal chapter in her young life quickly became a fight for survival.

After enduring major surgery, Alexis has been bravely battling through pain, exhaustion, and uncertainty. Her recovery has been slow and difficult — and the financial burden has been overwhelming. Despite everything, Alexis continues to stay strong, hopeful, and determined to heal.

Unfortunately, many of the treatments and wellness supports that could help her recover and rebuild her strength are not covered by insurance. Alexis has been paying out of pocket as much as she can — healthy cancer-fighting foods, holistic therapies, and wellness consultations — we'd like to help her with that.

How Your Support Will Help Alexis Heal:

• Holistic Nutritionist: To create personalized meal plans that nourish her body with the nutrients it desperately needs.

• Alternative Treatments: Natural therapies to support her immune system, manage pain, and boost her strength.

Massage therapy, 170$ per week.

Red light therapy $200 per session. (recommended 2-3 per week)

IV therapy (unsure how much this will be, will update shortly)

We'd also like to work toward sending Alexis to a 3 week all inclusive alternative cancer therapy retreat in Vernon BC.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping Alexis access the care she needs to get stronger and give her the best possible chance at beating this.
