Hey, I'm Alex. In March, my ex's cat Moshi sadly passed away from heart disease at the age of 16. We all loved Miss Moshi to the moon and back. This emergency expense was not one my ex could afford at the time. She asked me to cover it with the promise that I would be reimbursed when she got paid next. I had to max out my care credit card, as well as pay out of pocket for the final treatment and euthanasia. I trusted in the fact that I would be reimbursed by my, then fiancée. Two months passed and no payment came. At the end of May, I discovered that she was cheating on me. Once this scandal was revealed, everything fell apart. My depression lost me my job, as I was in a safety critical role and could not make it through a shift without breaking down. My ex called the landlord at our residence and broke our lease, so I needed to find a place to live with 20 days notice , and had to forfeit my security deposit. My ex stopped paying the shared utility bill, as well as her portion of the phone bill that was under my name, and eventually left her phone and watch on my doorstep with no way to contact her further. The phone had the back glass broken, which I needed to pay to be repaired, and both devices still had hundreds of dollars of payments left on them. I have been working through Uber day and night for the last 2 months and have finally secured and started full time employment in sales as of this month. All that is to say, I need some help to catch up on my bills so that I am not in a constant loop of playing catch up paycheck to paycheck. The only amount I am setting for the goal is the total cost of Moshi's final treatment and euthanasia. I can figure out and handle the rest of the debt myself, but that is the biggest cost that I do not know how I will cover at the moment. Even if the goal is not met, anything will help.
