Help Aidan fight Ewing's Sarcoma

From a simple x-ray to extremely rare bone cancer...here is Aidan's story.
My son Aidan, who is 18 years old, is an active kid. He works a physically demanding job at times and so when his knee was bothering him, he would just take some time to rest it. This has gone on for 2 years.
On September 17th we went in for an orthopedic consult that started with an x-ray. When the doctor came in with the x-ray he seemed a little "off". He said that the x-ray was concerning and that we needed an MRI as soon as possible. In that moment, looking at that x-ray I said the word cancer. He looked at me with sympathy and said "I don't know".
On September 22nd we got a call they had an opening at 3pm. So Aidan went for a 2 hour MRI. While waiting the doctor came in and checked on the MRI. I thought that was weird. He then came out and put his hand on my shoulder and said "he is almost done, don't leave, I need to talk with you and will be back down in 10 minutes". As a mom, I knew. I just knew. Ten minutes later he came down and sat with us. He said that Aidan has a tumor and that is has impacted both the bone and the soft tissue. I asked if this could be benign and he told me that invasive tumors like that are not typically so he didn't want us to get our hopes up.
September 27th we met with the chief orthopedic oncologist in Boston and he confirmed that it was malignant and we would need the biopsy to know what kind. Aidan then went to a biopsy appointment where they took 6-8 samples of his bone/tissue. We were told originally 1-2 weeks for result but the doctor said we would see his results in 48-72 hours. We were shocked, everything is happening so fast.
Less than 48 full hours later on September 29th early morning we got the call from the oncologist. Aidan has Ewing's Sarcoma, an extremely rare bone cancer that typically only affects 200 young adults and children a year. This tumor had replaced the bone marrow in the lower part of his femur and had burst through the bone into the soft tissue. Measurements of the tumor were 8cm.
We met with his team leader later that day via zoom. He confirmed that we would start with 12 weeks of chemo (and that they wanted to start in the next 2 weeks) then Aidan would be scanned to see how much it has shrunk and then he would have surgery to remove the tumor, some soft tissue and the bone. Then they would reconstruct the bone and tissue. We are not sure if this can be done in 1 surgery or not. Then after he completely heals from the surgery or surgeries, he will then have another 12 weeks of chemo.
The doctor told us Aidan's prognosis is good but the journey will be really hard. There will be many trips to Boston and he will be on a 5day/2 day chemo cycle and all of those will have to be done in Boston.
We are humbly asking for assistance to cover the cost of Aidan's medical bills that insurance won't cover as well as travel, food and assistance with our bills during this time. Unfortunately, I have been out on disability for 2 months with chronic back pain that we can't figure out and found out yesterday that I was denied payments even though I had been approved to receive them. I have appealed this but am unsure what the outcome will be or how long that will take.
We expect Aidan's treatments to be around 9 months to 1 year. Any little bit you can help with will be so so greatly appreciated. If you can't donate, we understand and ask that you please share his story.
Aidan is an amazing kid and his prognosis is good. We believe he will come out on the other side of this a stronger person. Thank you for taking the time to read his story.
Much love,
Brenda
