Help Abel pay for his dog's surgery

Howdy, my name is Luis, and I want to help my woodshop mate Abel. His dog, Tesla, had a horrible accident this weekend. Tesla, a rambunctious doodle, impaled herself on a tree branch while playing in GG park. Abel carried her home and got her to a vet, who performed surgery and was able to save Tesla. Luckily it went under her front leg and chest and didn't puncture the lung. She's recovering with a couple of drain tubes and a big dreaded blue cone. But like a lot of us, Abel doesn't have dog insurance, and emergency surgery here in San Francisco is a big hit to a woodworker. So please help me help Abel and Tesla.

Update! we did it friends!! thank you. raised 5k in 2 days and paid for Tedsla's surgery. She's doing great, see the vid Abel shared. you guys rule!
