How the funds will be used
Hi, I’m Aaron — a full‑time singer‑guitarist based in Surrey. I’ve been performing live music for almost two decades, playing everywhere from weddings and pubs to open‑mic nights, festivals, and charity events.
The guitar I’ve used through most of that time has been my main companion on stage — it’s travelled thousands of miles, played thousands of songs, and shared countless nights of laughter, dancing, and singalongs. But after eight solid years of daily use, it’s showing its age and no longer keeping up with the demands of constant gigging and teaching.
This fundraiser will go directly towards finding the right new guitar — a real workhorse that will serve me both live and in the classroom. I’ll use it not only for my gigs but also in my teaching work, both privately and at Anstee Bridge, where I help young people rebuild their confidence and express themselves through music.
The dream guitar has always been a Gibson SJ‑200, and if funds allow, that’ll be the first I go to try out. That said, the most important thing for me is finding the right instrument — one that feels, sounds, and plays just right for every setting, whether it’s a packed wedding crowd or a quiet moment with a student discovering their voice for the first time.
Every contribution, big or small, helps me take a step closer to that goal. And once I’ve found the right guitar, every note it plays — on stage, in lessons, or on future recordings — will carry a little bit of the kindness that made it possible.
Thank you so much for reading, and for being part of the journey.
– Aaron
