4 year old Riot’s fight from motorbike tragedy

Last night 1/1/2022 my sister Chantelle’s 4 year old son Riot was involved in a serious
motorbike accident at Margate.
Riot was rushed to the Queensland Children’s hospital in Critical condition.
during transportation his heart had stopped due to severe trauma to his brain and the ambulance immediately placed him into a induced coma. He was rushed in for emergency surgery and At this point riot Had multiple brain bleeds. The surgeon got the main bleed but due to his heart stopping 3 more times during surgery they had to stop and bandage him up and remove half of the bone surrounding his skull. The doctors advised our family to say our final goodbyes that night as they did not expect him to make it through the night and they had done all they can.
Riot suffered burns and trauma to his arm and upper body as the motorbike inflamed on fire. The following morning riots test’s reported there was no brain activity on his left side. And Due to the swelling his got less then normal brain activity on his right side.
A MRI Scan will be held today 4/1/22 to see if riot has made any improvement . The Drs have advised us that Riot is far from out of the danger timeframe.
It’s still touch and go at this moment in time and that we should still be preparing ourselves for the worst .
Riot will be kept in a induced coma until the swelling of his brain can go down. If by any miracle riot can continue to fight we have been informed by the team of specialist that he will be servely brain damaged resulting in a life long disability and the riot who we once knew will not be the same riot who wakes up. The family have also been advised that if Riots has any chance of survival rehabilitation times will be extreme and will take year’s of learning all his basic motor skills once again.
We as a family are praying for the best outcome and will support riot through whatever we need to as a family unit.
Chantelle’s is the sole main income provider for her 1 year old son at home while supporting her two step children and 4 year old son riot . She is currently heavily pregnant and due to be induced any day now due to severe gestational diabetes.
The hospital has kindly arranged a new location for her to give birth at while keeping her close to her son riot.
I have started this go fund me page to help take some of the financial burden off riots mother for any ongoing medical costs that Queensland health can’t cover for riot, with any future on going medical expenses rehabilitation, hospital stay’s and hospital parking.
these funds will go towards rehabilitation, upgrading of the house for wheelchair access,
if riot does not make it through these funds will go directly towards funeral expenses.
