I love Austin. I love strolling around Mill Pond with my sweetheart. I love taking my daughter to the Austin Public Library. I love being able to get from anywhere in Austin to anywhere else in 7 minutes--or 15 minutes if I'm biking. Most of all, I love the people of Austin.
I’m running for City Council because I believe in our community and I want to help make it better.
I grew up on a farm in Iowa and moved to Austin in 2001. I've worked at the Hormel Historic Home and Vision 2020 and now I work at Riverland Community College in grants and alumni relations. I am involved in the community, a member of the City of Austin Planning and Zoning Commission, the Ladies Floral Club and the Austin Area Commission for the Arts board.
I need help from people like you to connect with the voters of the first ward and conduct a successful campaign.

If you can make a financial contribution, I would really appreciate it. Contributions will go toward expenses such as campaign signs and literature. The campaign will accept up to $100 per individual or business and up to $200 per household in 2016.
July is a great time to contribute to help cover the cost of yard signs which we will need to pay for in August.
