Healing starts at home.... please help support our community

My name is Sonya Turner and my daughters and community have been horribly impacted by the tragedy at Apalachee High School on September 4th, 2024.

We have been overwhelmed by friends and family asking how they can help us directly.

Winder is where I was born and raised. Our community is amazing. But we have so many connections and are aware of so many needs but cannot fill them all ourselves. There are so many immediate needs and with so many begging to know how they can help, this is all I knew to do to start something people could contribute to, knowing wholeheartedly the funds would go where they were needed most.

I sat yesterday texting my daughters, not knowing if I would be able to hold them alive at the end of the day. Calming them, praying for them was all I could do and telling them how much I loved them. No parent or child should have to experience this.

Please feel free to give. Anything collected not immediately used will be donated to Barrow Ministry Village, which will be offering counseling to our community for years to come at no cost to these survivors and others
