I have set this go fund me up for all 3 hospital that have helped Hallie and supported us through the hardest time of our lives!
hallie was born in Southmead Hospital due to being 26+5 days, she was intubated for 8 weeks due to her chronic lung disease and pulmonary hypertension , we spent 3.5 months in southmead as hallie really struggled to become stable on CPAP she then managed to get onto high flow and we was transferred to Gloucester on 23th September!
Gloucester NICU
when we were transferred to Gloucester we thought this nightmare was nearly over and we were so close to taking hallie home, Hallie got onto low flow for about a day or so, unfortunately she was unable to keep her sats up and didn’t cope, she was then put back on high flow and then for a few months she would go between high flow, CPAP and duopap, Hallie has some very tough days, at one point wehad a meeting to say she had a 50/50 chance of survival, we had so many scary days where we were called in saying hallie had a bad night or she was close to being intubated again, Hallie managed to get her self back to where she was but some days she struggles a lot more than others. She has struggled with her feeds a lot, she was being sick a lot and was unable to keep a feed down so bottles feeds werestopped and she had to have thickener in the tube feeds and medication to help her with reflux, unfortunately after a 5 month stay in Gloucester NICU they were unable to anything else for hallie do to her lungs being so bad, she had to be re intubated 29th feb ‘20
Bristol children’s hospital
hallie was sedated and was on muscle relaxers for about 4 days and she was very fussy when nurses or me and ben tried to change her nappy or even touch her, she is so much better now she has had sometime to recover, she is awake again now and she is smiling and blowing her raspberries! She is slowly getting back to her sassy self!! The doctors alreadyknow her very well in Bristol, they have started hallie on a new medication to help with her pulmonary hypertension and to hopefully help her lungs improve and grow! We still have a long journey ahead but it will all be worth it to see our baby girl better and home where she belongs!
I have started this go fund me for all 3 hospitals that have helped hallie and saved her life,
when hallie is home me and my sister Kate will be holding a charity fun day where we will be raising
more money! Every single penny we get from this go fund me and fun day with be given to the hospitals as a thankyou!
I would love to thankyou you all individually but there are just so many of you!!
