Guidant IRC: Helping Homeless
Donation protected
Homelessness has been a long-running problem in Ireland. Emergency accommodation figures show that there are now collectively 9,846 homeless people living in homeless shelters across Ireland. The number of families becoming homeless has increased by 24% since 2017 and more than one in three people in emergency accommodation is a child.
Inner City helping Homeless is making a significant difference every single day by operating a 7 night a week outreach service all across Dublin City, bringing supplies such as tea, coffee, soup, pot noodles, sandwiches, fruit, water, hats, scarves, gloves, clothes and sleeping bags. 7 day advocacy service offers assistance for homeless individuals and families through education and case work support - all possible because of their amazing team of volunteers. Besides providing basic daily supplies, they offer empathy and compassion as a simple chat can mean so much to people sleeping rough around the city.
Our GUIDANT IRC team has a strong belief in fostering a sense of community rooted in inclusion, diversity and equality, and we view social good as one of our top priorities. We would like to directly support Inner City Helping Homeless, a charity that does not receive any government funding and is 100% volunteer run, by raising much needed funds and see their important work continue through daily outreach, advocacy and deep solicitude.
