Hi, my name is Gerarda Marjorie Newell. I am a Canadian, born and raised, who has founded an African Grey Parrot Sanctuary in Ghana. My reason for starting this project in Ghana is due to the serious decline in the African Grey parrot in this area and we aim to be a necessary part in helping the survival of this now Endangered Species.

To accomplish this will depend on the support from other agencies, local and foreign governments and financial support from the public. We have also opened a Shop selling local African items from Carvings, Masks, Beads etc. with all proceeds going to the Sanctuary.
