Support My Green Arts Festival Project

Donation protected
My name is Alejandro Epifanio Juan, I'm a visual artist working and living in the Bronx, New York.

I have recently been invited to participate in the Provincetown Green Arts Festival in Provincetown, MA.

I started this campaign to help me cover travel and material expenses during my participation in the festival.

Your help will cover travel expenses from New York to Provincetown; rental veichle, gas and tolls. And will also help me buy the neccesary materials (wood, paper, pigments and resins) to create and install my work on-site and for the entire duration of the festival.

                                 APPEARANCES
Fourth Annual Provincetown Green Arts Festival

                              APRIL 18-27, 2014

"Appearances" is a Green Arts Festival with a goal to bring awareness to the majesty and fragility of our environment, to play with the naturally occurring energies "“ such as wind, water, sun where art is transformed by the elements during the duration of the event.

During APPEARANCES the campground will be transformed into an outdoor art space with installations, sculptures, performances and other great events. INDOOR ECOCENTRIC WORKS of any and all artistic forms will be exhibited or performed at sites throughout Provincetown. Major national, regional and international artists, scientist, and naturalists will participate in APPEARANCES. Invited scientists, artists and authors will participate in readings, workshops, and talks.

My "Appearances" Project Specifications:
Title:Provincetown dispersing Isle(S)
Materials:Wood, Sawdust, Pigment, Gum Arabic Resin and Water.
Size:Dimension Variable.
Description:Provincetown dispersing Isle(S) promises to be an engaging project that will create an immediate interaction of the artwork with the community of Cape Cod and Provincetown in Massachusetts. The materials that will be used to create the piece itself are very important. These materials need to be organic, biodegradable and leave absolutely no trace after the piece has transitioned. The idea is to make the piece disappear in a few days and for it to be a meeting point of the passer-by during the duration of the Provincetown Green Arts Festival. A temporary opportunity to discuss and engage in conversation, interact with the piece, nature and with other people.

I need to reach my goal by April 12th or I will not be able to participate in this amazing festival. Please help me get there!
