The Grace House started with a desire to reach the hurting and the homeless in our community. Our founders Pastor Josh and Kayla have met countless individuals, right here in our own community, who are without a home and have no place to sleep. For these individuals tonight, sleeping on the street is their only option. It was through meeting these people and hearing their stories that God has given us the vision for this ministry.

The Grace House has a plan in place that would not only provide emergency shelter to the homeless but also provide skills and resources needed to find a job and broaden their job skills. We plan to partner with other area Churches and Businesses to provide “Life Training” to help those who are homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless.

We want to do more than just put a “band aid” on this problem. We want to lead the fight in ending chronic homelessness in our community.

Individuals in our program will learn skills such as:

· Computer skills training and other technology
· Resume writing and job coaching
· How to make and use a budget
· How to shop frugally

The desire of the Grace House is to be more than a Homeless Shelter. We want the Grace House to be a place where lives are changed and fresh starts begin.

Our goal for the remainder of the year is to raise $15,000. These funds will be used to purchase food, clothes, supplies, medical care, operating cost, and most importantly, to provide shelter to those in need. Not only is this a critical need for our community, but also for the men, women, and children without a home tonight.

In addition to funds we also need volunteers to assist with upcoming events, preparation and serving meals, or just being a mentor. Please consider how you can get involved today with the Grace House. Help us change a life for tomorrow. Stop by our location or give us a call today. Now is the time to get involved. The need is great and the reward is awesome!
