Hi, I’m Chloe, and I’m asking for help for my boy, Dexter Morgan.

Dexter is a 6 year old Siberian Husky, and he is my son in every way that matters. When he was just 8 weeks old, he chose me to be his mom, and from that moment on, my life became ours. I always joke that Dexter was a human in a past life. He is thoughtful, expressive, and deeply intuitive. He even shares my pillow with me every night, like that is simply where he belongs.

Dexter has a little sister, MoMo, who is 2 years old. I adopted her when she was 6 months old, and from the very beginning, Dexter stepped into the role of big brother. MoMo has never known life without him. They sleep together, play together, and move through the world as a pair. Thinking about how lost she would be without him is almost as heartbreaking as the diagnosis itself.

Recently, Dexter was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor affecting his jaw and nasal area. We are still waiting on final pathology results to determine the exact type of cancer, but all likely possibilities are serious. Our veterinarian has recommended referral to a specialty center for a CT scan, consultation with a veterinary oncologist, and possibly surgery so we can fully understand the extent of the disease and what options may give Dexter the best quality of life.

The estimated cost for advanced diagnostics and treatment is approximately $6,000 to $7,000 and potentially more depending on what the specialists find. I never imagined I would be asking for help like this, but I want to make sure finances do not limit my ability to do right by Dexter, whether that means pursuing treatment or focusing on comfort, peace, and time together.

All funds raised will go directly toward Dexter’s care, including diagnostic imaging, specialist consultations, treatment, medications, or comfort focused care depending on what is recommended.
