I suffered a stroke 2.5 years ago that left me with brainloc syndrome. I have a fully cognizant mind trapped in a lifeless body. I lost the ability to move my muscles and to talk. I type with a tobiidynavox . It tracks my eyes. I need your help for getting a four wheel drive wheelchair. I really miss the the outdoors. It was where I used to go to feel peace. I used to be a hiker. My youngest was 10, when I had my stroke. I really want him to experience the peace of sitting somewhere that is secluded and be surrounded by nature. I do keep trying to go camping. I do often get stuck. Please help me get a wheelchair that will make camping more accessible for me. I really want make memories with my family.

I have seven kids. Zach (Beth), Thomas, James, Andrew, Gracie, Faith and Matthew. I am a widow.

I could not figure out how to crop the main picture with my device. The wheelchair is for me. Mr. Olp is an expert on these types of chairs and is finding one that will work for me.

When I woke up after stroke, I could not move, I had a breathing tube, I had a feeding tube, I could not speak, I could not hear, and I could only see out of one eye but I couldn't move it. I had to wait for someone to enter my field of view. I was in the ICU for almost two weeks. During this time, I was given a tracheotomy and a g-tube (for feeding), my hearing and vision returned. I could move both eyes (up or down direction). I had the trach device for 3 months for before I was weaned off shallow breathing. I am very grateful to be alive. I was blessed to return to my home and kids. I had 3 minor children at the time. Getting a tobiidynavox really changed my life because I could communicate with sentences.

I spent months in hospitals because I had a trach device . Every few hours they suctioned out the mucous. Yes, it was a painful process. I had to have surgery to remove some tissue growing on device , which caused on this required me the device to breathe. They put colored caps on the device to slowly wean you off the device.
