Our cat Milo needs your help! Our sweet boy has a sick eye that seriously needs to be removed, but we cannot afford it. With your help, Milo can get the surgery and live a long, happy, and healthy life.

As a kitten, he was found with his brothers and sisters shivering in the cold. Our family took Milo and the others in. After taking them to the veterinarian, they were all diagnosed with Feline Herpes, an illness that mainly affected their eyes. All of the kittens returned to perfect health, except for Milo. 

Milo's eye never healed. It even ruptured. There is just an infected hole where his eye used to be. We took him to the vet a few years ago to see what could be done about it. At the time, they said that it was not causing him pain, so nothing needed to be done. This was true for some time. However, after 3 years, we have noticed that the eye has gotten worse. 

It irritates his skin making it bright red. Because of this, Milo consistently scratches it, causing it to bleed. The “eye” constantly needs to be cleaned, which he hates and makes him scratch at it even more, causing more bleeding. Let's be honest, it also stinks to high heavens. Milo needs this surgery and doesn’t deserve to suffer any longer. 

It is time for the eye to go. The only thing holding us back from the eye surgery is money. We barely have enough to pay for food, housing, and tons of cat litter. We can't afford this and the cost is $2,000.
