Thanks to your incredible generosity and Oleksandr's unwavering spirit, we've nearly reached our original $20,000 target in just 10 days. We are truly inspired by the outpouring of support from this community.

With Oleksandr continuing to walk and inspire, and with so many Ukrainian hospitals still in need, we’ve decided to increase our fundraising goal to $30,000.

This will allow us to extend our support to more frontline hospitals in Ukraine — helping to save lives and deliver urgent care where it's needed most.

This summer, Oleksandr Kyyanytsya — a proud Ukrainian born with cerebral palsy, who lives in Canada — will walk 200km from Calgary to Banff to inspire hope and resilience in the face of adversity.

Why Oleksandr Walks

Now, he’s walking not just for himself, but for his homeland — for those who are fighting, suffering, and surviving in the face of war.

As Ukraine continues to endure the devastating impact of Russia’s invasion, Oleksandr wants to use his steps to raise awareness, support, and life-saving aid.

Here is a YouTube video about Oleksandr and his previous walks, as this is Oleksandr’s third year walking for Ukraine. Since 2022, he has taken to the road each summer, using his steps to raise funds and awareness for the people of his homeland. Each year, his walk grows in distance and purpose, and so does the impact. Thanks to your generosity, previous campaigns have helped provide critical aid to medical professionals and hospitals on the front lines.
