Help roxy stay in the country
As some of you may know I have been struggling over the last year to secure my green card to stay in the United States.
I love America and consider it home, since I was a child I visited New York almost every summer staying with my aunt Ann and uncle David.
When I was thirteen my parents and I move to New York so so my father could start a new branch in America. Since graduating my parents have moved back to England, however, this does not mean I am here alone by any stretch of the imagination, I have formed roots and great friendships in the only country I truly know. I love America and am currently doing volunteer work with the salvation army and hopefully the Red Cross soon.
I am trying to raise funds to cover the lawyer fees and filing fees required for my green card application. This is a challenging and costly process exacerbated by the recent administrations shifting policies on the movement of international residents that have grown up in America. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place as I can not work without a green card but without working I can not afford the legal fees to obtain a green card.
It really would mean the world to me if I can stay in America, my family have given what they can, but I'm still short. I ask humbly to you my friends family and good Samaritans if together we can raise the funds for me to stay in the country I hold so dear to my heart and subsequently continue contributing to its society for the rest of my life.
Thank you again
Sincerely
Rosalind Garner (Roxy)
