Water is a necessity of life.  Access to clean water should not be a luxury, but a right to every human being, rich or poor.  Unfortunately, that is not the reality in many developing countries such as Cambodia.  Around 25% of the world population do not have access to safe drinking water.  That means that this year alone, close to 2 billion people will die from waterborne diseases, 20% of which are children under the age of 5.  In Cambodia today, 4.5 million people depend on ground water as the only source of clean water.
Those who live is rural areas spend an average of 4 hours a day collecting water from the nearest community water well.  Women are usually the ones to bear this strenuous task, but children are no exception-- often skipping classes to help collect water.

Please help us raise money for the construction of water wells in rural parts of Cambodia.  Each well will provide an entire village access to safe water.  Not only will this immediately eliminate the risk of contracting waterborne diseases, it will also aid in the healing of those already infected by these diseases. 


Each well is approximately $1,600 - $1,800 U.S. dollars.  Our goal is to raise $5,000 Canadian by May 9th, 2017 so that we can build two wells by May 24, 2017.  Two members of our team will be travelling to Cambodia to personally oversee the entire project, start to finish.
