Help Sabik Get on His Feet!
Donation protected
Sabik is in Joan Czarnecki's PE class at Frost Middle school in Schaumburg, Illinois. He was born with no shin bones and the doctors opted to remove his legs. His insurance will not pay for athletic prosthetics because they are considered "cosmetic". According to Czarnecki, Sabik is very athletic and gives a bigger effort in school and athletics than anyone in her classes. The students in her class see Sabik as a leader and he inspires them through his amazing athletic achievements such as: doing push-ups, pull ups and playing kickball with no legs. He also plays football, basketball, track and he even wrestles. Mrs. Czarnecki approached the Barrington High School video program to help raise funds to purchase athletic prosthetics so it will be less cumbersome for Sabik to participate in all the sports he loves. Board Certified Prosthetist from Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics, Kevin Carroll, has offered to fly Sabik to Oklahoma to play in this year's Endeavor Games. Our goal is to raise the funds for Sabik to get his new legs.
