Help Georgia stay afloat while undergoing cancer treatment

Hello! I'm Nic, and I'm fundraising for Georgia, my cousin, and one of my very favourite humans (maybe one of yours too, if you know her!) while she goes through treatment for breast cancer.

As you might already know, Georgie has been on a roller coaster journey these last few months. After a rough couple of years (during which it's likely that the cancer was impacting her health, along with some other big life stressors) she made the call to move down to Tasmania for a fresh start and to launch her new business. On the precipice of this giant leap she found a lump, and the funds she saved to move have been used to support herself while she goes through this process and undergoes treatment.

By the end of treatment impacts, around two months from now, she'll have been at partial capacity for six months. She's undergone two major surgeries, is still recovering from them, and is now in the midst of radiation treatment. The side effects of this are pretty rough—systemic issues that mean she'll need time to rest and recuperate.

She's admitted that it's really hard for her to ask for help, but I've encouraged her to remember that this is what community is for! We both understand that cost of living is making things difficult for a lot of people right now, but if you have the means, we'd really appreciate the support to help her manage this difficult time without the worry of financial struggle. It can be hard to know how to help someone you care about when they're suffering, and while there are many ways to offer support, this is one that will have a huge impact if you do have the capacity.

The money will be used to help Georgia get settled in a new home, purchase furniture and other basics, purchase nourishing food, and to fund physio and other supportive treatments while she builds her health and energy back up.
