This summer I'm bicycling for a cure across Eastern Canada!
I'm officially a week away from my 5th annual bicycle ride for a cure for cancer; this time, a three week, 1500 mile long ride in August across the rugged interior of Newfoundland, parts of Labrador, and Nova Scotia, Canada.
In order to accomplish this, I personally need to raise $1500 to help defray my travel, food and shelter burdens, as I take a month off to ride for a cure in memory of my friend Carolyn Held, who died of cancer 6 years ago.
Please consider contributing to my cause!
This year, with you supporting this annual ride, I then aim to raise another $5,000 for cancer research at Mayo Clinic, which will amount to over $50,000 raised for cancer research in the past 5 summers of rides I have done for a cure.
In that time, I will have biked nearly 10,000 miles in the name of cancer research and in the memory of my friend, Carolyn Held, who died of cancer at the age of 70.

First of all, I want to thank all of you for your support of 51 Across Sri Lanka last summer. With your help, you helped fund my shelter and food expenses for a 1200km-long, five week-long bicycle adventure across the country of Sri Lanka during which we raised another $6,000 towards cancer research at Mayo Clinic.
Seattle to Boston in 48 Days!
Ever since I began these bike rides, starting with a 3600 mile, 48 day long solo bike ride across the USA in 2014, we have raised over $45,000 for cancer research. As always, I deeply appreciate your willingness to support these annual rides!
52 Across Canada (Atlantic Provinces): August 4-August 23, 2018
I've already bought my plane tickets, am outfitted for the journey, and have begun my training. My expected food and shelter expenses will be around $50 a day. I am seeking donations totaling $1500 to help defray these extra costs, as I take a month off from making a living as a musician to challenge myself and challenge others to give to cancer research.
Every amount counts, no matter the size!
