Am the mother of Michael Bigras & wife of Matthew Bigras.

At 4:30pm Dec 13th 2025 my husband was driving home from our trailer from picking up our 4 wheeler. While driving down Highway 7 he hit a large patch of black ice. He tried his best to control the truck but the ice patch was to big and sent him into the on coming lane. And hit a OPP cruiser head on.

Michael was ejected out of the windshield and was dead on impact. However with the amazing paramedics that came on the scene they were able to bring him back after 20mins of fighting to get him back. They fight hard in the ambulance on the way to Perth Hospital and for a bit there. When they got him stable at the Perth Hospital they had air lifted to Cheo in Ottawa.

Michael has life threatening injuries that he will not be coming back from. He has being kept alive with machine as family comes in to say their good byes. My baby was turning 11 Dec 19th. He is fighting so hard but even if a miracle were to happen he won’t be able to walk or talk.

Matt is stable however he has a broken leg, a crushed pelvis and a punctured spleen.

As for Sharon they have brought her to Kingston Hospital and I haven’t gotten any updates.

Im asking for this help because I never expected that I would be burying my son before me. My husband won’t be able to work for a very long time. We don’t have the funds to carry our mortgage and bills while we work through this life changing path we have been handed.

I want to say Thank you to anyone that donation and to those that can’t but share you have helped just as much.

I understand that the amount can sound a little high but it’s just number I pick anything that doesn’t get spent on the funeral

and keep the house afloat before we both can get back to work will be donated to Cheo.

i just want to hear my son one last time.
