Funeral and Memorial for my brother Howard Kim

My brother Howard died early this morning in my family home. The same place where we as children raced about and our imaginations roamed wild. Today this place of our youth became the place where Howard quietly passed. He has struggled for the past 5 months from complications of a stroke and advanced liver disease. He was 45 and my twin. My brother was an strong man of conviction and tremendously proud. He was a tireless worker who gave his all in his pursuits. At one point in his youth my brother was a gym rat the size of a muscular house. Today as we bathed him, I saw how much his struggle wore him down. He weighed nothing at the end.

My parents are devastated and his passing has been heartbreaking. This experience has cost them so much: tears, long nights, and money. They were the primary caretakers during hospice and they managed this tremendous hardship with dignity and grace.

I'm setting this fund up to help my parents with the funeral costs. My brother had awful insurance and my parents are on a fixed income. They have sacrificed so much already. If you can spare a donation to help offset funeral costs, it would be greatly appreciated. Any funds not used for the funeral and medical bills will be donated to charity.
