Ojo's Oboe for College
Donation protected
My name is Ojochilemi Okoka. I am a senior at North Atlanta High School, a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Talent Development Program and I play the oboe. Usually when I tell people that they either just go along with it, or look at me with a very confused expression. However, it is not only one of the most pivotal instruments in major symphonies around the world, but also the instrument I’ve dedicated my life to learning that has given me so many opportunities. As I prepare to go to college and pursue my major in oboe performance, we’ve reached a tremendous roadblock. I have been using a loaned oboe from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and need to raise enough money in order to pay the symphony back and keep the instrument. Please help me on this journey so that I can continue making music and pursuing a future in my passion. Thank you so much for all your support! Below is a video of me playing the Paladilhe Solo for Oboe.
