Skye's Journey to Cardiac Wellness

Donation protected
Hello Family and Friends

Last Monday April 22nd while on the way to a soccer game in Currituck, our dear beloved Skye had a stroke , he was unable to talk, or control his right arm which lasted 30 seconds leading Jenn to call 911. (-Ambulance noted Atrial fibrillation (A fib) with very high heart rate) around 160 )

Skye was taken to Sentara Albemarle where they admitted him and unfortunately as of this morning he still is.

The rest of the week we kept hoping for things to settle with his heart and get answers though that has not been the case.

The rest of week went like this

-Tuesday MRI confirmed stroke. Meds weren't lowering heart rate

-Wednesday more of the same needs lowered heart rate a little nowhere near enough, told Jenn and Skye his heart is not functioning at a normal percentage.

-Thursday same as before planned to shock Friday morning to get out of a-fib

-Friday they tried to convert his heart by shocking it 4 times, he would convert but then switch right back to a-fib. They changed meds.... (Again) as they did this several times already.

Saturday- Jenn was finally able to spend the night with him Kiley took care of the dogs. They decided they were going to send him home in a cardiac life saving vest which they are still waiting on

Sunday- vest did not arrive by the end of the day and Jenn had to go home to take care of Kiley and the dogs.

So today we reach out to everyone to ask for help during the time of uncertainty.

Jenn or Skye haven't worked since last Monday and we aren’t sure when the big guy will be able to return.

He will need to have a sleep study done to also help with his heart and will be on several medications. Some of those one will be a blood thinner, one will be a beta blocker, he will have cholesterol medication and possibly more.

Skye is one of the most kindest human beings and we want to do our part as he always has done for us.

Setting this gofund up will help off set any bills, meals, and medical care that is needed to get him back on his feet.

Skye’s insurance policy doesn’t start until May 1 so the entire hospital bill will be without insurance.

So far, he has been there seven days with no guarantee of when he’s going home.

No donation is too small and is appreciated by the family to help offset any loss of income and to help him heal without worry.
