My name is Amy Markowitz, a teacher at Wakefield High School. I am in my 26th year teaching primarily ELL students at APS. I believe some students only chance to recover from opioid addiction is to remove them from the school environment and place them in a residential program. Narcan training is great, but for those deeply mired in addiction, it is not a solution. Help me raise funds so that a student’s ability to pay is never an issue when finding a placement. A residential 90 day program can cost $60,000. Please give even a small donation if possible.
