Frontier Shores Needs a New Fire Station
Donation protected
We are Frontier Shores Fire Department. We are a 501-c3 non-profit rural volunteer department that depends on grants and donations to help operate. We operate currently on $9,000-$10,000 a year, which simply isn’t enough. We have a temporary building we have been using for years, but it’s been through the wringer with some of the harshest conditions. Currently, there are holes in the roof, and certain areas have caved in, allowing the rain to flood the building, leaving gear wet and molded, among other hazards, most important is keeping our vehicles out of the elements, our vehicles are our lifelines to the community. We have found a builder to build exactly what we need and nothing more for a station for our department. Below is what we would have in the station:
- Bunk room for firefighters to stay the night through their shifts
- Communications rooms
- Training room
- Two offices
- Kitchen
- Showers/locker room
- Gear room for all fire gear
- 3 overhead bay doors, each bay long enough for two vehicles
- Insulated
This would greatly benefit our department and community immensely. Allowing firefighters to stay for an entire shift without having to go home, decrease response times, allow for training in safe environments, and provide the community a safe place in case of a natural disaster and more!
We ask that you share with your friends and family to help achieve our biggest goal for our station!
