Friends of Jen and Kristen Boudreau

 

Jen married the love of her life, Kristen in October 2018. The "newlyweds" just celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary. Together they have 3 children. Kayley is 17 and planning to attend the University of New Haven next Fall to study dental hygiene.  Jack is 15. He loves sports and video games. Sophia is 13 and is an avid hockey player who likes to draw in her spare time and is a budding chef! 

 

Jen had the first of 2 major surgeries in the fall of 2020. She then underwent 12 rounds of chemo. Her last chemo day was May 18, 2021. Jen was out of work from November through May. She then returned to work in June 2021 WHILE she did radiation therapy. Jen then  had the 2nd of her major surgeries in October 2021. She was able to return home shortly after that and was cared for by her loving and devoted wife. Due to the extensive nature of Jen's needs, Kristen was unable to work and has been home without pay for several months. But things were looking up and Jen was starting to heal.

 

Unfortunatly, she started to not feel right and ultimatly had further testing to reveal that the cancer had spread. She now has stage 4 cancer. The last few weeks of December 2021 were a whirlwind. She had several doctor's appointments, was hospitalized a couple of times, and underwent multiple procedures. At this writing she is currently at Southern Maine Medical Center waiting for a bed at Maine Medical Center so she can get the chemotherapy she needs. 

 

While the future remains uncertain, we are praying for Jen's recovery. She has a large support system, but is alone at the hospital due to the Covid no visitor policy. We would like to mitigate the financial ramifications for this family. Jen has given her blessing in setting up this page and the kids are aware of all that is transpiring.
