Francisco's Fight
On August 13th, Francisco was given the devastating diagnosis of Testicular Cancer that has advanced to his lymph nodes in his lower abdomen. Unfortunately, because of his status and limited insurance, UC Davis was not willing to admit nor operate, leaving Francisco and his family with the burden of finding the means and medical team to address his rapidly growing tumor. However, the Uroglogy Team at UC Davis made Francisco and his family aware that it is essential to his health and survival to get the tumor removed immediately and receive follow up treatments. He is the sole provider of his family which includes his wife and 2 young children. As Francisco is (and will continue to be) in and out of the hospital and clinics, he is unable to work, leaving his family without income. Francisco is a selfless young man, always putting his needs and wants out of sight and putting his family and loved ones first. He is an outstanding father, and anyone who has had the opportunity to witness him with his boys knows that they absolutely adore him. It is safe to say that they are most definitely, "daddy's boys". His biggest fear is leaving his boys behind. Funds will not only go towards his treatment and recovery, but his family's daily expenses as well.
