For Steven aka Barney – A True Red, Forever United

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of the legend, the beloved Steven. He was cherished by so many for his humour, warmth, and unforgettable spirit.

Steven’s greatest passion in life was Manchester United, and of course his lovely wife Elaine and family.

Steven never missed a game, always wearing his colours with pride and cheering on his team no matter what, right to the end whilst fighting his journey with a brain tumour. To those who knew him, he was the truest Red — and we cannot think of a better way to honour his memory than by giving him a send-off showered in the colour he loved most.

This fundraiser has been created to help cover funeral and memorial costs, allowing family and friends to focus on celebrating Steven’s life.

Steven fought very hard and much longer than anyone anticipated and whilst his amazing family spent all of their precious time together it came to light that his insurance company let his terminal illness cover expire with no notification which means unfortunately that now Steven has passed there is no financial assistance from the policy he had.

Every contribution will go toward giving him the farewell he deserves: one filled with love, laughter, and the colour red, a true reflection of the joy and passion he brought into all our lives.

No donation is too small, and every message, share, and kind thought means the world. Together, let’s honour Steven’s memory, his humour, his loyalty, and his undying love for his family and Manchester United.
