Food Bank for disabled children in Bangladesh
Donation protected
We need your help for a food bank program to support children with disability and their families in rural Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your donation can save a child with disability from hunger and premature death.
Since 2015, our community-based research and rehabilitation program (i.e. Bangladesh Cerebral Palsy Register (BCPR): https://worldcpday.org/our-campaign/medical-therapeutic/gulam-khandaker-bangladesh-cp-register/) has identified and supported 3015 children with disability (e.g. CP) and their families in rural Bangladesh.
We provide community-based rehabilitation including physical, psychological and dental care, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and wheelchairs and walkers free of charge to help improve quality of life and integration of affected children and their families to wider society.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the livelihood of these families and without support many of these children now face starvation and death. 96% of these families live on a daily income of less than 2 USD. 70% of these children are malnourished.
We now operate a food bank to support these families during these unprecedented times.
Please support our food bank program and donate generously.
A donation of:
· 10 AU$ (6 USD, 5 GBP, 7 Euro) can feed a child with disability for two weeks
· 25 AU$ (16 USD, 13 GBP, 15 Euro) can feed a family of five for two weeks
· 100 AU$ (64 USD, 51 GBP, 59 Euro) can support a family for two months
Thank you!
