Kilamanjaro Climb for WarChild
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
In just a few months I will embark on an adventure of a lifetime. On Feb 17th (2016), I will depart for Tanzania to climb mount Kilimanjaro; tallest mountain in Africa, and tallest *freestanding* mountain on earth. I hope to reach the summit (almost 20,000 feet) 11 days later.
While this is certainly going to be a huge personal challenge (yes, I am training hard!), it is important for me to link my effort to a larger purpose. Apart from my goal of reaching the top, I am also challenging myself to raise a significant amount of money for a worthy cause.
Note that I am self-funding my expedition 100%, and 100% of any donations are going directly to my chosen charity - WarChild.
Every day, millions of children live in war zones. Many suffer from the direct effects of violence and intense trauma of the loss of parents and loved ones -- not to mention the indirect impacts; lack of access to reliable sources of food, water and clothing, or a chance to go to school. No child has chosen to be impacted by conflicts of their parent's generation, but they pay a very high price in global conflicts.
WarChild is a UK founded charity dedicated to the interests of children living in war zones, or suffering from the impact of war. You can read about them here…

Please help me reach my funding goal of 2500 euros (~2900 US Dollars) by contributing to my campaign at one of the below links!
If you use internet banking and can donate directly to an IBAN number, use my Dutch WarChild page:
http://www.warchild.nl/actie/kilimanjaro-warchild - Preferred since GoFundMe has a 3% transaction fee :(
If you would like to donate using credit card, or cannot use direct internet deposits, I have set up a GoFundMe page here:
