Finnegan's Surgery

Donation protected

This is Finnegan. For those who know him, you know him to be a sweet and energetic dog. He's 60 lbs of pure muscle, loves to play frisbee and thinks he's a lap dog. He is truly a big part of our family and means the world to us. This week, our three-year-old Finn went to the vet after suffering from "happy-tail syndrome" and a sore on his foot. "Happy-tail syndrome" is caused from Finnegan wagging his tail too much. He gets so excited and wags his tail so much that it hits everything and everyone in sight, causing the tip of his tail to crack open and bleed. This is the third time this has happened. Each time the wound is worse, it takes longer to heal and now it has become infected.

The vet, however, was also quite concerened about the "sore" on Finn's foot.

Finn has a tumor. And it has doubled in size over the last month. The tumor needs to be removed immediately and biopsied. Even if the tumor is not cancerous, the location of the tumor is causing Finnegan discomfort and will continue to grow. He is already having difficulty running, which is heart-breaking.

The surgery is estimated at costing around $1500 for the tumor removal, the biopsy, and the vet is recommending that we amputate his tail. The surgery needs to take place as soon as possible.

If you know me, you know that I work on average 60hrs a week and still live paycheck to paycheck. I also have terrible credit and thus, I need help.  I know it's the holidays and money is tight, but if you could spare a little bit for an amazing dog, it would mean the world to me and my family .
