Help for The Pope Family

Donation protected
Most of you know we are in trying times. Some may know why, and others may not. I am here to share with you what has happened.

About 3 weeks ago, dad (David Pope) started dealing with a cough and some cold symptoms. Convinced it was just allergies, we had a difficult time getting him to go to the doctor. Monday, November 30th, dad went to see his doctor. They performed a covid test to be safe. Wednesday, December 2nd, Dad's test came back positive. On Friday, December 4th, dad was taken to the hospital via ambulance due to breathing complications.

Saturday, December 5th, he was put on a ventilator, paralytic, and dialysis. He is on multiple antibiotics, blood pressure meds, and heart meds. He is stable but still considered critical. As of today (12/11), we do not know how long he may be in the hospital. So far, it has been one week, and they said he has a ways to go.

Dad was laid off from his job on July 31st. Due to fraudulent claims earlier in the year, we are still dealing with unemployment, and he has yet to get any funds. As of January 1st, 2021, we will need finances for bills, living expenses, and possibly medical bills. We have applied for financial aid through the hospital and praying we get approved, even if it's partial.

Mom, Miles, and I all tested positive for Covid as well. Jordan, Miles, and I are all doing fine. I have been through it already and am back to my usual self. Mom is currently fighting it and is feeling very tired and weak. She is at home and shows no signs of having to go to the hospital. I am keeping a very close eye on her, her oxygen levels, and general symptoms.

The family is in quarantine and does not believe we came into contact with others while infected. We have been diligent in handling the situation, and due to dad and mom struggling, we stayed home to be safe.

We ask that this period of our lives be kept as positive as possible. We are only speaking life, healing, and restoration over dad, our family, and the future. We ask that you DO NOT speak negatively over dad, our family, or the situation. We refuse to speak death, destruction, or negativity.

If you feel led to donate, thank you. We ask that you keep us lifted in prayer during these times. We know God is in control, and He has the final word. We are moving forward in faith and expectancy that God will come through in a big way!
