Final Days with my wife Timea

Donation protected
My beautiful wife Timea will not be with us for much longer. I am asking for your help to spend as much time with her as I can in her final months.

Timea and I started a new adventure together when we came to Australia from Hungary in 2004. Here we found life-long friends, a welcoming community, and the opportunity for a better life. Through years of hard work, we built our new life together and became Australian citizens in 2006. Although many of our dreams have come true, unfortunately life has also thrown many challenges our way.

Timea and I tried unsuccesfully for many years to start a family. After many disappointments, we were excited when we discovered twins were on the way. Losing our son and daughter after just 21 weeks of pregnancy was devastating for us both, and Timea struggled with a deep depression as she worked her way towards recovery. A short three months later, as we glimpsed the light at the end of the tunnel, the next cruel blow fell when we discovered a large lump in her breast.

From that point, everything changed and now we began battling for her life.

In the four years since that terrible discovery, cancer has slowly spread to Timea's spine, skull, hips, liver and lungs. We have tried everything currently known to overcome each new health challenge, and we are so gratefull that Timea has already exceeded the doctor's initial expectations.

Unfortunately now, we have reached that point where there's simply nothing left to try. Her health has deteriorated rapidly over the last month, and we have been advised to start preparing for the end within the next 3-6 months.

After more than 18 years together, I would like to make sure Timea's last few months are as comfortable and happy as possibly by being there by her side to give her the physical, emotional and spiritual support she needs. I can't do this, and work at the same time. While I don't like to ask for help, I have finally come to the realisation that I can't do this alone.

I am appealing for any financial support that will enable me to care for my dying wife and give her the care I know she deserves in her final days.

I am grateful for any help and appreciate you keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. God bless everyone.

Thank you,
Bertalan
