Help Rachel with medical bills!
Donation protected
On Friday November 10th 2023, our friend Rachel Kane was unfortunately involved in an accident on her moped in Honolulu, Hawai'i. She was cut off by another car which ejected her over her handlebars causing her to become immediately knocked unconscious, until she was then rushed to the ER by an ambulance. Due to the severity of her injuries, she had to undergo a 7 hour long surgery on both sides of her jaw, then was in the ICU, and now is home recovering. Her additional injuries include a dislocated thumb that had to be popped back into place, several broken teeth that will need to be cosmetically replaced (as well as a root canal in connection to one of those broken teeth), and intense swelling/bruising. We are so fortunate that she is now in a more stable condition, but she is also in an immense amount of pain and has a long recovery ahead of her.
Rachel is a recent graduate of Chaminade University in Honolulu where she earned her bachelors degree in Psychology, and she had just recently begun her career as a Registered Behavioral Technician. Unfortunately her current medical situation makes it impossible for her to go back to work for a minimum of three months. Rachel is a very kind and empathetic person and would help someone else in a heartbeat, which is exactly why it is my hope that we can come together and contribute financially so that she has one less thing to worry about with rent & medical expenses, while she is prioritizing her recovery.
I cannot express enough how much ANY little bit counts! If donating financially is not possible, even just sharing this post would be super helpful. Rachel is a young and bright woman with so much life ahead of her, so let's help her get back on her feet! Thank you so much in advance to anyone who is able to help!
