Holiday Party For The Homeless Kids
We need to raise $5,000 or more to help purchase over 1,000 bags of groceries to help feed a 1,000 homeless families. Last year we ran shy of our goal and we could not supply everyone with a holiday meal. This year I am going to try and reach or surpass our goal of $5,000.
This year we are anxiously preparing for the 31th "Holiday Magic for Kids" outreach to the Homeless children of San Diego. It will be held on December 17 th with doors opening at Noon, at the Golden Hall, Community Concourse , 202 C Street, San Diego 92101
I am trying to raise $5,000+ to help with the food and extra gifts that we struggle each year to provide to needy children and their families. If you could so kindly donate to help bring happiness to a young child in San Diego.
I have been running the food distribution for the past 11 years and have found each year we do not have enough quality food to give to the families and I want this year to be different and be able to purchase from the food bank better quality items for these families so they can celebrate the holidays with something healthy and tasty.
The annual Christmas party for needy kids has became a San Diego tradition. The organization was incorporated as a nonprofit 501c(3) in 1979. It started by giving 25 gifts to random kids living in the streets. Last year this event at Golden Hall Downtown San Diego, drew over 3,000 low-income and homeless children with their families came to the party and received new, wrapped gifts.
