On June 19, 2017 Wendel had surgery to remove the tumor and it was sent to be biopsied. He was sent home that Thursday and on the following Saturday he fell at their home and was immediately take to a local hospital at which time he was transferred downtown. Once they got to Methodist downtown Tammy was told the worst news she could hear - Wendel's results had come back and he had been diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma and was given 13 months to survive. They have Wendel in Neuro-Intesive Care Unit and where they are continuing to run test to determine what has been effected.
During this time the family is being challenged with not only the devasting news they have received but also the cost of his medical bills including travel cost for Tammy to be with him. Any amount you can donate to this wonderful couple as they endure this painful time in their life is very much appreciated.
