Hi, a close family friend of ours has recently been affected by a devastating house fire that has turned their lives upside down.

Overnight, this family of five lost their home and nearly everything they owned. The family includes two children currently in elementary school and one child who was excited to begin kindergarten this September. In a matter of moments, they lost not only their belongings, but also the comfort, routine, and sense of security that every family deserves.

At this time, they are temporarily staying in the basement of a family friend’s home while trying to find more permanent housing. With nothing salvageable from the fire, they are now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up while caring for three young children.

This family came to Canada with hopes of creating a better future and more opportunities for their children. Through hard work and sacrifice, they built a life and a home together. Losing that home so suddenly has been heartbreaking.

We are hoping to raise funds to help ease some of the immediate and ongoing burdens, including:

• Temporary housing and moving expenses

• Clothing and shoes

• Basic household necessities and furniture

• School supplies and children’s essentials

• Groceries and everyday living costs
