Amyloidosis Explained
Erin is 30 and the mother of a 4 and 1/2 year old boy named Quentin. Erin began feeling very sick this past February, 2014. Loss of weight and muscle, nausea, cough, shortness of breath, and extreme fatigue to name just a few of the many symptoms.
none of the doctors in Maryland, yes even at Johns Hopkins, had treated patients with Amyloidosis A! So difficult to comprehend that we needed to go out of state (read out of network) and therefore begin Erin's fight for treatment by a team of experts. The fight for life began with the diagnosis of stage 5 kidney failure one day and dialysis the next.
Please help us get Erin to Boston University Amyloidosis Clinic. The need is for funds to pay what insurance doesn't cover. Any amount is appreciated.
